Santiago cont'd

Today we met up with some friends from work - Nate and his partner Annie (from NZ) and Carlos and his wife Ariela (from Chile) and their baby Carlitos. We walked up San Cristobel Hill to get great views of Santiago. It was really nice and warm today but quite smoggy.

We are starting to get into the routine of things here, doing out best not to have a nap during the day and having late lunches and later dinners. Pizza and beer for lunch on Pio Nino, the main street of Bellavista where there a lots of cheap bars and places to eat. Mainly students - apparently there are around 40 universities in Santiago!

Santiago feels safe and metropolitan. There is a nice big park (Park Forestal) where we had a lovely wander around - so many dogs (both owned and strays) playing in the park.

Off to Valparaiso tomorrow.
